Dr. Sherwood, a professor of ophthalmology and Director of
the Center for Vision Research, has been with the University of
Florida since 1986. He received his medical degree at Manchester
University in Manchester, England, and trained in ophthalmology at
St. Thomas’ Hospital in London and Moorfields Hospital in London.
He completed two glaucoma fellowships, the first at Moorfields
Hospital and the second at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Sherwood has received the American Academy of
Ophthalmology’s Honor Award and is listed in the Best Doctors in
America for his work in glaucoma.
